CNC'D TURBINE CONTAINMENT FLANGE

At 89 WORX, we’re excited to release our long-overdue CNC-machined turbine wheel containment solution, developed with one clear goal: keeping racers and fans safe as power levels continue to climb.

As engines are pushed harder and lower-quality turbo components become more common, turbine failures are occurring more frequently across the racing world. As racers ourselves, we believe safety shouldn’t stop at the driver’s seat. When fans stand trackside to support the sport, it’s our responsibility to do everything possible to protect them as well.

Our turbine containment flanges are engineered to manage the extreme energy released during a turbine failure. The flanges are precision-drilled to accept 5/16″ steel cross-rods, allowing the force of an escaped turbine wheel to be transferred into the crossbolts and exhaust piping. This design helps minimize collateral damage around the turbocharger and works to contain the turbine wheel within the exhaust and engine bay.
